The World Class PSE Par 70 Flow Sensor is a multi-port averaging flow sensor. It is designed to sense the velocity of a fluid flowing in a pipe or other closed conduit. As the flowing fluid passes the Flow Sensor, it impinges on the upstream side of the Flow Sensor where the high pressure sensing ports are located.
The downstream ports sense the low pressure. The resulting difference, or differential pressure, between the high and low pressure is then sensed with an appropriate differential pressure instrument.
Based on Bernoulli’s Theorem, the differential pressure can be expressed in flow units. A World Class PSE Flow Sensor as the primary sensing element in association with an appropriate differential pressure instrument can provide accurate, convenient, flow measurement for many different applications. A variety of World Class PSE Sensor styles are available to meet particular application requirements.
